Anti-Idiotypes

An anti-idiotype antibody campaign focuses on generating antibodies that specifically recognize the unique antigen-binding site (idiotope) of a therapeutic antibody. These reagents are critical for pharmacokinetic (PK), immunogenicity, and bioanalytical assay development.

Objectives

  • Target the Idiotope
Develop antibodies that bind the variable region of the therapeutic antibody, enabling selective detection and quantification.

  • Support PK and ADA Assays
Anti-idiotype antibodies serve as capture or detection reagents in ligand-binding assays to monitor drug levels and anti-drug antibody (ADA) responses.

  • Enable Specificity and Sensitivity
Ensure high specificity to avoid cross-reactivity with endogenous immunoglobulins or other therapeutic antibodies.
